Sharing testimony releases the presence

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” 1 Chronicles 16:24 (NIV).

God wants so much more out of us than good intentions and good excuses. We all have good intentions, ‘I am going to start serving at the local Care and Share’, I am going to pray at the mall for others, I am going to teach Sunday School’, etc.  We all have excuses, ‘too busy, too old, too young’.

It is time the lip service to King JESUS stops. It’s time to get up and go to work furthering the kingdom of God. You further the kingdom by releasing the presence of the LORD and you release the presence by sharing testimony.

Keep in front of you what the LORD has done and what he is doing now. This will give you the strength and courage to face what is next. Don’t dwell on what hasn’t happened.

A friend who had the odds stacked against her, but had a lot of prayer warriors lifting her up, told me this week that her last EKG was perfect. In April she went through a seven hour procedure, Cardiac Ablation, to destroy areas of her heart that were malfunctioning. Now it shows up perfect!

A woman that couldn’t afford a doctor in Southern Asia was in lots of pain and danger from an abscessed arm. Three days after the prayer warriors went to work from around the world, I received a report from her son, ‘her pain is gone and she is doing fine’!

The more I share about what the LORD is doing in these days, the more I hear about answered prayer. Yes, the LORD still hears prayers and he still answers prayers. Pray for others and watch the glory of the LORD parade in front of you.

“All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.” ~ Psalm 86:9 (NIV).

Glory to God...JESUS showed up!

God has a way of getting our attention, huh? I was sitting in church a couple Sundays ago when the LORD put on my mind Luke 7:21. Luke 7:21…Luke 7:21…it kept repeating in my head over and over again until I finally opened up my bible and turned to Luke 7:21.

It is written…“At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind.” Luke 7:21 (NIV).
O.K. So, I am sitting and listening to a sermon being given by a pastor hobbling with a crutch across the stage on a replaced knee gone bad, but the message I am getting from God that day is… “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (NIV).

Hey, I am slow for sure, but the take away for me from those two scriptures was that Jesus healed many and that same JESUS is alive in me and is the same yesterday and today and forever.

And that’s a fact! Our JESUS is still in the business of healing and wants you to bring heaven to earth as you pray for His glory to show up. The Holy Spirit is in us all, but pray that the Holy Spirit will be upon us and work through us and witness the amazing power of the universe set people free of diseases and sicknesses.

My wife and I, clothed with the power on high, prayed for this pastor, and to no surprise four days later the pastors knee quit hurting and the crutch has been thrown to the side. Knee surgery has been canceled. Thank you JESUS. We thank you and praise you and give you all the glory.

Are we ever so glad we prayed with this pastor. If we had not prayed we would have robbed our LORD of receiving glory. We got to give JESUS all He paid for, ‘forget not all his benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases’ Psalm 103:3 (NIV).

May this story propel you to get on with doing your Father’s work. We are here to glorify God. That’s exactly what we are called to do! Pray for God’s healing hand to touch others. It is not about us going to heaven it’s about us bringing heaven here.

“LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.” Habakkuk 3:2 (NIV).

Others-centered...

“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,” ~ James 1:19 (NIV).

Be encouraged today to become others-centered. That is what JESUS modeled so well for us when He walked on earth. Be quick to listen and slow to speak, just like James wrote to us.

Take note that we do have two ears and just one tongue. We need to be spending more time listening to others and tending to their needs than running our mouths and caring only about own agenda.

Paul wrote in Philippians 2, that we should not think only of our own affairs, but should learn to see things from other people’s point of view. Hmmm…wouldn’t that make earth a different place.

We are to be Christlike. We know from Matthew 20:28 that JESUS did not come to be served, but to serve. That’s why we are here on earth, too. We are here to glorify our great God in heaven and to serve him in others. When you listen to someone and help them you and listening to and helping God.

If you are like me these things, “quick to listen” and “slow to speak” echo in my head reminding be how to react, but because of my carnal mind I fall short and don’t always follow JESUS lead although I love Him and intend to be like Him.

Papa…We ask you, O LORD, to forgive us for not being others-centered like we are called to be. May your Holy Spirit lead us to be better listeners and in doing so we will be better talkers and more able to help our brothers and sisters. May our walk match our talk. In JESUS name we ask and pray. Amen.

Shalom,

Turn to JESUS our team leader...

Praying 4 U Ministries

“I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.  Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” ~ Psalm 116:1-2 (NIV).

The ways are many that we have been drawn to the LORD. It appears that most come to Jesus when they have been rescued from deep distress. There is just something about the way He loves us with his unending kindness. We want more…

In His great compassion He lifts us up out of the darkness and sits us on level ground where we can run again. With great joy we claim victory over Satan’s kingdom and long to be in the presence of the lover of our soul.

We are all prone to wander and are a part of a condemned race appointed to die, but all have a savior just a prayer away ready to forgive us and guide us by His Holy Spirit until the day we are totally delivered from sin and sorrow and rest in heaven.

The LORD is ready, willing and able to help us boldly defy all the powers of darkness. When we are on the winning team, Team JESUS, we can look at our problems and defeat them.
Dive into the word of God and lean on His strength. Pray daily to the throne of grace to be pardoned of your sins. ‘…whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours’. (Mark 11:24 (NIV).

‘I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.’ ~ Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV).

The Story Continues...

For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city.” ~ Acts 8:7-8 (NIV).

If you are going to church each week and checking the box and leaving God there and heading home, you probably are not experiencing the God of miracles that is alive and well and living among us.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The things that you read about that happen in the early church are still happening today. There was great joy in that city and there can be in your city too!

One of my buddies that had moved away was rear-ended by a semi-truck about six weeks ago and his back has been really bad since. This man drove back to a passionate praying group of men on Denver’s south side for prayer recently.

Jehovah Rophe moved so powerfully in his back that night that he text the group the next day saying his back feels great and gave the glory to God!
What has been done in the past will continue to be done. I am telling you this to release the kingdom of God so you too will be motivated to seek all there is from the LORD.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” ~ Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NIV).

The Holy Spirit longs to fill you from the top of your heads to the bottom of your feet, gifting you and guiding you to bring forth fruit. I pray that you will understand and apply spiritual truth in your lives and bring heaven to earth one prayer at a time.

“Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” ~ Ephesians 5:18-20 (NIV).
