"Jesus Heals Today"

"Jesus Heals Today" is a new ministry that good friend Greg Hemsley and I have co-founded. The Lord brought brother Greg and I together working on Christian pages for Global Scope Ministries. We both have a heart for praying for others and especially want to see people healed.

“Jesus Heals Today” is one of the newest and fastest growing pages on Facebook. The Lord has given us 340 fans in just three days. We expect it to continue to explode and be a great thing for our Father in heaven.

I encourage you to take a look at it and to see what God is doing through us. We hope to help make people aware that Jesus still heals today just like he did when he walked on the dusty earth in his sandals “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 (NIV).

We are posting events and details for people who need prayer for healings. Thousands have joined in with us to pray already. Our goal was to encourage one another to pray for the sick and pray for healings. In doing so, children of the Lord will be healed which makes God’s children healthy, strong and ready to battle Satan and his losers. We can then be more effective in building God's kingdom.

In James 5, God’s word tells us, “and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well…the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Jesus told the disciples to tell those they were healing that the kingdom of God has come near.

Let us bring the kingdom of God near today!

Shalom,

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory...

Beloved…God tells us in his holy word that He has spoken to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways.

It is written in Hebrews 1, “but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things…”

Children of the LORD, “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.” Hebrews 1:3 (NIV)

Dear God In Heaven…Thank You for your Son, Jesus, who radiates your glory. May we too radiate the glorious light you have provided. Thank you for being there for us that we may find rest for our souls. We thank you and praise you for “All” you do. In the name of Jesus, the risen and coming King of the Universe. Amen and Amen!

Praying the Jabez prayer...

I have been praying the Jabez prayer from the old testament as I want God to increase my area of influence for him. I am sure you know the prayer and possibly you have prayed it too.

“Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” 1 Chronicles 4:10 (NIV).

Being a Christian writer and wanting people to actually have access to what the Holy Spirit is telling me to write, I want as many people as possible to see what I have written.

I began about nine months ago writing this Christian Blog and set up a page on Facebook. Some 50 to 75 people a week are looking at my blog and nearly 450 are fans of my Facebook page, Praying 4-U.

I have joined Global Scope Ministries (GSM) in the last month as an administrator of “Men of Faith”, “Praying People”, and “I Love God” pages. Instead of reaching around 500 people with prayers and devotions on my own pages, writing for GSM has put me in front of over 400,000.

Being one that doesn’t give up praying, I have continued to pray for the LORD to “enlarge my territory”. God has granted my request just as he did for Jabez . This week I was asked be an administor on “The Bible” page. “The Bible” has over six million fans! It is the largest Christian page on Facebook.

Father God, You have surpassed all greatness. Nothing is above you. I give you the glory and praise and ask that others will join in with me and pray that the lost will continue to be found. May the sheep be led to the great shephard through pages like these. In the good and great name of King Jesus! Amen and Amen!

I have witnessed the kingdom of God...

I remember the day a little over nine years ago that I stood on my deck of our A-frame home in the mountains and took a phone call from my Urologist. Tears rolled down my cheeks as he confirmed I had cancer. “Oh God! No!”, I screamed.

God’s holy word tells us, “Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you…I will give you a full life span. Exodus 23:25-26 (NIV)

When King Jesus walked on earth he healed all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease through our Father in heaven. Jesus ushered in the kingdom of God. Every time he healed he was showing the kingdom is here.

God is the Great Healer and I am blessed and forever grateful that he guided the mind and knife of the surgeon that removed all of the fast growing cancer from my body.

The Lord appointed seventy-two and sent them out two by two ahead of Jesus to the towns he was about to go to. Jesus said, “Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ Luke 10:9 (NIV)

I have witnessed the kingdom of God. It has come near to me!

Father God, Thank you for healing me and showing me a piece of your kingdom. Your great power that is among us is awesome. May we never pass up a chance to pray for a healing for anyone. May we truly bring your kingdom to earth. In Jesus name, Amen!

Always pray and don’t give up…

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, tells us in his letter to the twelve tribes scattered among the nations, “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.” (James 5:13).

Beloved, if you aren’t happy and singing songs of praise, get yourself in the praying mode. Have you read the parable of the persistent widow in God’s holy word? Read Luke 18:1-8 (NIV) below.

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge, who neither feared God, nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!"

And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Great God in heaven... May we never become discouraged in prayer and never lose heart. You are our refuge at all times and always right there to pick us up. Thank You Lord Jesus for your grace, mercy and unending love. You are the King of all Kings! We are here to praise you, Almighty one. In the name of Yeshua, Amen!

May the sharing heart of the early church return

It would have been truly amazing to have lived among the fellowship of the believers of the early church. We are told in Acts 2:42-43 (NIV), “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. All the believers were together and had everything in common.”

Living as many do today with our attitudes toward each other and towards material possessions, it is hard to imagine a time or place where God’s children were united and regarded people more important than things.

A lot of people struggle recognizing that we ourselves belong to God and fail to recognize that God does own everything. Everything belongs to God and His people. Everything!

God’s holy word tells us in Acts 4:32 (NIV), “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.” The word goes on to say, “ There were no needy persons among them.” Acts 4:34 (NIV).

Father God, Forgive us, O Lord, for straying so far from a time that “there were no needy persons”, when “all the believers were together and had everything in common”, and when “all the believers were one in heart and mind.” May the sharing heart of the early church return to us. In the good and great name of the coming and risen King Jesus, Amen!

Unemployment and Cancer is ripping us up...

I had breakfast yesterday with an assembly of men that I had not met before. It was, of course, a good time. Whenever you get men together and there is food involved, it has to be good.

We sipped on dark roasted coffee, piled the pancakes on our plate, and poured on the syrup. Then we piled on more pancakes and poured on more syrup. From there on it was great fellowship.

The deep prayer concerns of this group of men were the same concerns I find throughout the body of Christ – Unemployment and Cancer. These two things are ripping us apart at the seams and it is not just in the United States or just in America.

Father God, You are the great provider and the great healer. You have given us many examples in the bible of how you provided and you have walked among us teaching, preaching, and healing many. Provide work for us today so that we may provide for our families and loved ones. Walk among us again, Lord. Again, heal “all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease”. Let you kingdom come and your will be done. In King Jesus name, Amen!

May we bloom where you have planted us...

Seems like just about the time I am ready to jump in bed and cover up my head, I have people asking for prayers on Facebook. I feel it is an honor to be asked to intercede in prayer for someone.

I was chatting with a person from Uganda who works in an orphanage for children who lost their parents to HIV/Aids, a pastor in India, a lady living in Kenya, and with a brother across the city I live in. This was all at the same time!

One prayer request that rings throughout the universe seems to be people are just not content with who they are or what they do. I seldom come across a person that is satisfied. It is sad, but true.

Father God, Help us to live for you and put you first. May we find contentment in the lives you have given us. May we bloom where you have planted us. We ask this in the good and great name of King Jesus. Amen!

Dedicate yourself to do the will of our LORD

Beloved…Our days on earth are running out and are destiny is coming quickly. We are aliens here on earth. Visitors from afar. Keep your faith in the Lord and live by his grace. His love for us is never ending.

Nothing on earth is bigger than dedicating yourself to do the will of our Lord and Savior. Never step back from the wishes of the almighty. Get out of your boat and leave it behind. Join in building the kingdom of God.

Be intimate with God. Nobody loves you more than He. Every day tell him you want to love him more today than yesterday. Don’t just tell him. Show him!

Father God –May we see that all the benefits of this world are trash, nothing for eternal life. Surround us in these end times by kingdom-minded people and fill us with your holy spirit. In Jesus name. Amen! Amen!

He will keep you strong and he is faithful!

Beloved…We are surrounded by things that separate us from our almighty Father in heaven. This is nothing new. We read about similar situations to ours in the book of 1 Corinthians. And that was written in 55-56 A.D.

Many people then were deceived by the enemy as many people are today. Satan has a multitude of lying and deceiving spirits working for him. We must fight back to overcome the schemes of the Satan.

You can not defeat the supreme evil spirit unless you have a plan. Any plan to defeat Satan has to include prayer. Don’t be discouraged in prayer, but be strengthened by it. Continue to pray. You will become stronger, and the enemy will become weaker.

Paul told us in 1 Corinthians 1:8, “He will keep you strong to the end…” Paul goes on to say, “God is faithful.” He will keep you strong and he is faithful!

Father God – We come to you looking for help in dealing with darkness. You are the light of the world. May our enemies be scattered, confused, exposed and destroyed! May we forever be yours and extend your kingdom. I ask this in our coming and risen Savior’s name of Jesus. Amen!

Putting faith in the right thing...

Everything natural speaks to us spiritual. Jesus spoke to us about nature because we are natural. Take a look at the story of faith like a mustard seed. Our God is an awesome God.

His holy word tells us in Matthew 17:20, “… if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

A mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds but it produces the largest of all herbs. Our faith is like the mustard seed. It comes from a small beginning but can accomplish great things.

The very small seed, like our faith, can do nothing by itself. If our little bit of faith is placed in our great and mighty God, nothing will be impossible for us.
We don’t need a whole lot of faith to get things done. We just have to have our faith in the right thing. The right thing is our Almighty God. Because God can do all!

In this story, Jesus Christ put the emphasis on How Great Our God Is, not on how great our faith is. Little faith can accomplish great things with our Great God.

Awesome Lord – Move us past the point of wondering if we have enough faith. You are all powerful and can accomplish whatever you want. Let us put our faith in you and then ask and receive. May your will be done now and forever! In the good and great name of King Jesus, Amen!
