Tell others of His wondrous works...

“Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!” ~ 1 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV).

I am laying claim to 1 Chronicles 16:9 as my memory verse for 2014. I ran across this verse and I realized that is exactly what we should be doing. We do not talk enough about our great God and all the awesome things he is doing.

If we talk about church to others, many times it is to criticize the pastors, the sermons, or other details of the worship service or the church. We can talk and talk to everyone about what we don’t like, but why don’t we speak of the wonderful works of God?

Talking about the King of all the Angels, the maker of heaven and earth, is exactly how we release the presence of our LORD. We sing how the Holy Spirit is welcome here, but many do very little to release the presence of God.

I pray that you will join me in making 2014 the year that you choose to tell others about the our loving God who provides, heals, delivers, hears prayers, and YES, he still answers prayers!

“I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.” ~ Psalm 145:1-2 (NKJV).

'Tis the season...

Praying 4 U
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” ~ Romans 12:12 (NIV).

The Christmas season is a great time of year as many are filled with the joy of giving and receiving. Hope is everywhere. Hope is in the hearts of our little ones and on the hearts of those older than us. Every age group experiences the joy in hope.

However, Not everyone is filled with joy. Christmas time is a lonely time for those who have lost a love-one in the past at this time of year.

Others think back to an unhappy childhood where happiness was not in their homes any day including Christmas. Thoughts of the year you may have lost your job and could not provide for your family come to some minds.

Some are living through suffering and pain and not expected to live to the end of this year and surely expect not to be on earth next Christmas. For every story of joy know there is a story of sadness.

My plea to you is that you will be the arms of our loving God this day and forever more to those not experiencing joy.Be on the lookout for that person or person and spread the love of Christ.

May you be joyful in hope and patient if you are going through tough times. Note that if you are going through them and that you are not going to be stuck in them, for the commander is with you and will not forsake you. You are going through. This will come to pass.

Be faithful in praying and do not offer up leftover prayers, but pray with power giving God our best. Praise God with the same enthusiasm that you petitioned him with. Heaven is indeed ignited by prayer that is on fire.

“LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.”  Psalm 16:5 (NIV).

Come and you will see...

“Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God.” The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” He said to them, “Come and see.”  (John 1:35-39) (NKJV)

Studying the holy word of God this past week, I came across this familiar story of John the Baptist preparing the way in the wilderness baptizing with water. He was with John and Andrew, who were followers of John the Baptist and in this story became the first disciples of JESUS.
John pointed out JESUS to them at a distance and John and Andrew took off immediately to follow JESUS. JESUS words to them “Come and you will see” have been ringing in my head since I read this earlier in the week.

“Come and you will See” is an invitational from God and also a promise. These words are not just for the first two disciples but to all who seek freedom, including you and me. God is always ready to receive us and as we take that step out of darkness into light, the holy spirit is activated in us and reveals more of the LORD to us.

Saying “Yes” to the call of JESUS is not just at the altar, but a daily choice we make. Many have come to God and not seen as they have not allowed God to touch them and haven’t made his presence their priority.

Know that wherever you are in your journey with King JESUS he has more for you. Our gift in him is a sovereign gift and has nothing to do with man‘s achievement. It is like any gift though…It must be unwrapped.

Come and see all that God has for you and experience His gifts for it is with His gifts that we catch the breathe of God. Praying that you, too, will see that God is bigger than His book.

“Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” Psalm 2:12 (NKJV).

Questioning Salvation?

I have ran into a lot of people that consider themselves Christians that still question whether they are saved or not.

This is what I have found in God's holy word and believe to be true...

"Salvation is found in no one else," God's holy word tells us in Acts 4:12 (NIV), "for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." The name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

If you are questioning your salvation, ask yourself if you have entrusted your life to Jesus or not? We have the freedom and power to reject the God that made us. But, if you BELIEVE IN JESUS you will be saved. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever BELIEVES IN HIM shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 NIV)

Apostle John wrote in 1 John 5:11-13 (NIV), "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

Paul and Silas told the jailer after the earthquake in Acts 16:31, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Paul wrote to the church in Rome, "if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 NIV)

It is by grace that we are saved through faith in Jesus. The laws we received in the old testament were given to us so we would see that we do need a Savior. We can't live without Jesus. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:9 NIV)

God's holy spirit is in you and when you take that step to accept Jesus as your Savior, he we take over your life and mold you to become the person God wants you to be. "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)

Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and admit you are a sinner and repent of your sins. This free gift of forgiveness and eternal life is offered to everyone, but it is yours only if you make the decision to receive it.

It is the most important decision you will ever make. Turn or burn. Turn to Jesus for forgiveness and have eternal life, or go to hell and burn with those who reject him.

Our God is alive! He still hears prayers and still answers prayers!

Stepping Forward To Further The Kingdom

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8 NIV)

Twelve years ago we scratched a 25 year itch and moved from Iowa to Colorado. One of my friends who knew how much I loved Colorado said, “If you move to Colorado, where is your Colorado going to be?” Well, now I have an answer to that question. My land of milk and honey is now…UTAH!
We have been in Colorado over 12 years and love it, but our love for hiking, biking, ATVing, and just generally being in the great outdoors that the LORD has made for us, has led us time and time again to Utah.

We have been considering moving on to Utah for about ten years and have really been serious about moving there the past year and a half. Funny thing is…Jehovah Sneaky, our Great God, is behind this all and He has us thinking it is our idea. God has BIG plans for us and He has been revealing a little bit at a time as He thinks we can handle it.

He told me about a year ago in a personal message on my phone that He has a task for me that others are not stepping forward to do. He knows my heart towards Him and trusts me to be able to step forward as a mighty warrior and expand His kingdom shining light into darkness.
This is our mission and we have decided to accept it. There is no fear involved or attached to this adventure assigned to me as the great commander will be with us.Our house sold in Colorado in nine days and we were able to find a great home in southwest Utah that we both liked. Children of God…We are moving Praying 4 U World Headquarters to St. George, Utah.

“Many, LORD my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” (Psalm 40:5 NIV).

Thank You King JESUS for choosing me to be your vessel!

Recharged for Kingdom Work

Falls by the face
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2 NIV).

O how great is our God! I went backpacking up in Wyoming’s Snowy Range Mountains in the Medicine Bow National Forest. I was with a wild-hearted group of nine men seeking to spend some time with their JESUS.

It was just me and my JESUS by a waterfall from 9 to 5 on the second day. It was just us all alone except for the heavenly host that celebrated as a child of God repented, thanked the Almighty for His unending love and grace, and asked for direction for the coming days.

I began my time with the LORD praying to him and read scripture out of my owner’s manual, a pocket-sized bible, filled with God’s holy power in His word. I am a warrior for the kingdom and the tool for winning the war is His word. That’s where I began.

With the sound of the waterfall blocking out all distractions, I read Psalm 91 as if I was reading it to Him, my sovereign LORD and savior.

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge,” (Psalm 91:4 NIV). As these words left my lips, in the roaring water I suddenly heard what sounded like a marching band playing in a parade.

As I ran across verses 11 and 12, “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” That's when I realized the band playing was the heavenly host, a large group of angels of the LORD.

The marching band I heard playing had to be a God thing because I was over five miles from the trailhead and the number of people I had seen since backpacking in was a dozen. That's counting the eight men of God I was with. I was in awe struck wonder!

Continuing to read God’s holy word, I was comforted once again as I ran across this promise in verse 15, “He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.”

I dozed off for about twenty minutes and awoke with a butterfly sitting on my hand and the LORD then downloaded His desires for me which immediately became my desires.

I love how He loves us. He has stirred the fire within me that He lit years ago and now the raging fire has Satan on his heels. I am chosen, loved, and forgiven, and have once again been recharged for kingdom work.

“Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” (Psalm 33:3 NIV).

Thank You King JESUS!

There is not a case that God can't change

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” ~ Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV).

All the things you have read about our great King Jesus doing and witnessed Him doing are promises to us and future generations of what’s ahead. Why? Because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Whatever your current situation is with your health, your job, your marriage, or your family, know that King JESUS still hears prayers and still answers prayers. There is not a case that God can’t change.

A friend recently asked prayer warriors to lift up his high school friend who appeared to be in his final days of battling liver cancer. Family was told to get everyone contacted and brought in that needed to be there because man had expected him to live three days. That's what man said and NOT what our God of restoration said.

With the power of prayer and God working through the doctors, this young man steadily improved and on the fourth day when it was thought he would have passed on, instead after many tests, man now predicted the sick man would be returning to work in two weeks.

Remember the acts of God and pray with expectancy. Expect the goodness of God to shine and thank JESUS when it does. Carry the song of the LORD with you always and release the mighty presence of God from within you.

JESUS makes all things new. Speak to the problem and command it gone in JESUS name. JESUS has given us power and authority. Praise the holy name of JESUS and give God the glory!

“Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.” ~  Luke 9:1 (NKJV).

Continue to pray and don’t give up. The enemy gets weaker and you become stronger. We are told in Psalm 56, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” That's what we are to do.

Patience is necessary to see breakthrough

Father God…Strengthen us, O LORD, that we may not only have great faith when we see Your power on display and when we can see the victory, but also when it appears our enemies are winning. May we not become weary and discouraged, but instead have patience. You promised Israel in Exodus 23 and Deuteronomy 7 that You would drive out the enemy little by little. I hold on to that promise. In Jesus name.  Amen!
“And the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.” ~ Deuteronomy 7:22 (NKJV).
I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.  Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land.” ~ Exodus 23:29-30 (NKJV).

We stand on that promise today knowing you will not lead us in temptation. We are surrounded by men that are faithless and false, but You God, we can always confide in and depend on.

Walk with Him in freedom...

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” ~ 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV).
Brothers and sister in the Lord, know that we are children of God and we have been called to liberty. The very chains that binds us have been broken by our Lord Jesus as He was crucified on the cross many years ago setting us free.
We have been born in to a war but are not to be captives to sin and darkness.  The chains on us have been broken by Jesus. Throw them down and walk with Him in freedom.
Being chosen as a child of the Kingdom we should cherish our liberty and magnify the light that Christ shines on us. As you commune with the Holy Spirit get on with doing the family business of bringing heaven to earth.
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; ~ Galatians 5:13 (NKJV).

Prayer For Resurrection Week-end...

Heavenly Father…We worship and praise you for sending your Son into this dark world as a man right with God showing us your heart and giving us hope and a Savior. We are grateful for the undeserving gift of Jesus to us as He was the Passover Lamb slain to free us from sins and heal our diseases.

We celebrate the great victory of light over darkness as Jesus walked through death after being beaten and hung on a tree to die. He rose from the dead defeating Satan in the greatest event in history.

Father we ask for more of the power that resurrected Jesus from the dead. As your power is displayed your glory is revealed and that is why we are here, to glorify you.  We know the King is alive and that there is more of Him to come. Thank you Holy Spirit.

We believe you, your Son, and the Holy Spirit are one. All unmatched in power and glory. May we keep what Jesus has done and what the Holy Spirit is doing today always in front of us.

Thank you Papa for forgiving us of our sins and you remembering not the sin but the victory you have given us over it. Thank you for loving us, forgiving us, and choosing us. It is our privilege to host your presence!

In the good and great name of Jesus. Amen and Amen!

A glimpse of glory...

Rick Hawbaker, Praying 4 U Ministries
My heart longs for the glory of the Lord and I got to see a glimpse of glory this morning.  A lot of you lifted up Keith Caro many times last Spring and Summer to our mighty God of restoration as Keith patiently waited for a matching kidney for a transplant.

He received a kidney and was in and out of the hospital numerous times in the first few months. You prayer warriors continued to pray and mountains fell before Keith and he became well.

I got glory bumps this morning as I glanced across the street while brushing the snow off my driveway. There was Keith with a big smile as he stood and waved at me from behind his snow blower. He cleared his drive and walk and sidewalks of his neighbors on both sides.
Jehovah Ralpha is alive and well and still answers prayers. Thank you all who participated in this story of victory over evil. The blood of Jesus healed us over two thousand years ago. Praise and worship the holy name of the Lord as He deserves all the praise and glory. His goodness and greatness rocks!

May the grace and power of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

More healed bodies...

“Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever.” ~ Psalm 136:26 (NKJV).

I thank God that His love never fails and thank Him for showing up last night as we met to pray for men, women and children. All present were sons and daughters of the King.

Jesus gave us the authority to speak healing into one another and we are robbing God of His glory if we do not exercise His power to set others free from evil. We called out to Jehovah Rapha , the God who heals, and He delivered. We gave Jesus what He paid for on the cross…healed bodies.

God’s abundant mercy goes on and on and on and His kingdom of goodness continues to grow, and grow, and grow. I thank God for the glory cloud that circled over us and for His Holy Spirit that ran around the room like a wild buck.

The flame of the Holy Spirit in a lot of the people was turned up as God’s presence was released in the room. A barrel of gasoline was sprinkled on the fire as prayer continued and evil fled that night.
The grandeur of His goodness stands alone. The glory of the Lord will glow forever as the Spirit is released from within the children of God. We have been gifted with His Spirit. Pray for others to be healed!

“For the Lord is the great God,  And the great King above all gods.” ~ Psalm 95:3 (NKJV).

A piece of what Jesus paid for...

Rick Hawbaker, Praying 4 U Ministries

O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.” ~ Psalm 30:2 (NKJV).
I am continuing to sing praises to my Lord God Almighty whom I called upon to heal me just a few days ago and He delivered. Our God is a mighty God full of mercy and grace and He provides and He heals. He is awesome. Our savior is a mighty fortress.
The wind had gone out of my sails as I tore a hamstring and was unable to go about daily activities. I sat on ice for three days as the swelling went down and then it was on to the heating pad.
I cried out to my God who is so good at healing that they call Him Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. The Lord laid His healing hand upon my body and I recovered quickly.
It wasn’t without incident. Satan, the snake, tried to tell me that I wasn’t healed. I did feel a shot of pain from time to time, but I refused to believe the great deceiver.  Instead I laid claim to the healing work God had done in my own body.
Jesus paid a huge price that I might be healed. I let Satan know that my Jesus was going to get what He paid for…another healed body. I got a piece of what Jesus paid for as Heaven came to earth and I was healed.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,” ~ Psalm 103:2-3 (NKJV).
Thank You Jesus!

I am like the rain and snow?

“I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.” ~ Jeremiah 10:23 (NIV).

I am in a season of rest. I didn’t want it. I didn’t ask for it, but God knows best and here I am. I have only called off work three times in the last twelve years and then this week comes and I have called off three days in a row with a hamstring injury.

Playing the game of life is like all games. Nobody wants to be jerked out of the game and sit on the sidelines. I feel that is what has happened to me, but I thank the Lord God Almighty for forcing me to slow down and check in with him.

Knowing the scripture above out of Jeremiah 10, “that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps”, I think we need to make a better attempt at checking in with Jesus. We need to know more about the course he has charted for us, our map to our Promised Land of heaven. Doing things our way certainly isn’t going to stack up well with our potter.

I was laying in pain asking my savior to come by and lay His healing hands on me. As I prayed I saw a vision of Him and I walking toward a corner. Only thing separating us was a row of broken off rotting wooden post.

I could see the corner ahead but could see nothing straight ahead past that and there was not a road the right. The only path was to the left and that was the side He was on.

I think He was telling me that I can see the end of the road from where I am and that I have already made my choice and that is to be with Him eternally. That’s why there was not another road to take.

We have a close relationship and I already know I can climb up into His lap at any time. That is probably the reason that the fence was gone between us. He is always available and His presence is easily gained.

I have prayed what if anything else this vision was to tell me. I was told I am already seated with Him in heaven and am here on earth to release His power and glory. I have been sent down from heaven just like the rain and the snow that comes down and I, too, will not return to heaven without watering the earth.

So as I now wonder over the dusty trail to the final corner to go away with Him in heavenly places, I know that I, just like rain, or snow or the word of God, will not return to heaven void.

Thank You Holy Spirit!

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” ~ Isaiah 55 10-11~ (NIV)
