Talk of rapture...

Greetings… There has been a whole lot of rapture talk going on lately. Again someone has predicted the world will come to an end at a certain date and time. I have been getting emails from folks around the world asking if this is going to be it for us and have been fielding questions at work.

The word of God very clearly says in Matthew 24:36 (NIV), “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Jesus told in Acts 1:7, "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.”

Make no mistake about it. No one except God knows the day and hour of Jesus return to earth. If Jesus did not know isn’t it crazy to think someone on earth knows.

Do your business with the LORD surrendering to him and be ready. British Baptist Preacher Charles Spurgeon said in the 19th century, “Christ’s coming will be sudden, startling, universally visible, and terrifying to the ungodly.”

Don’t be caught unexpectedly. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and admit you are a sinner and repent of your sins. This free gift of forgiveness and eternal life is offered to everyone, but it is yours only if you make the decision to receive it.
