Call out for strength and power

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” ~  Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV).

I thank the Lord God Almighty to be able to reach you faithful readers from around the world. May God’s love, grace, mercy and peace be yours in abundance both now and forever. Our God is a mighty God and he is faithful to his children. He is a God full of promises and he delivers.

I pray that you are on fire for the LORD and that you are becoming exactly what he intended you to be. Then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

It took me until just recently to realized most of the people that call themselves Christians believe in the resurrected Christ in doctrine only. They give ten minutes to the LORD as they rise each morning and go to church on Sundays and check the box for the week. But they haven’t sought after the resurrection power and the authority that God gave us through Jesus.

To me that is very sad. Take a minute an imagine the glory of the LORD that would be shown if we all exercised the gifts God has given us. Wow! We would be seeing darkness disappear right before our eyes. I have to think that is what God wants.

That is my prayer for you today. Don’t just check the box and keep treating the LORD and spending time with him as a task you need to complete each day.  God is much, much more than something on your checklist. God is the Great I Am. He is our healer and provider.

Don’t hesitate one minute to take things to the LORD in prayer. It saddens him to see us sidestep him and his supernatural power as we struggle. The Spirit of God is on us and he is able to help us with our body, soul, wallet, circumstances and Spirit.

Call out to the LORD for he gives power and strength to his people.  You are fathered by a God that listens and so answers prayer.

Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!” ~ Psalm 66:20 (NIV).

Shalom,
