Can't Give Away Something You Don't Have

Did you ever try to give away something that is not yours? Have you ever seen anyone attempt to give away something that is not theirs. It can't be done and that's the way it is with God's love, too.

You can't give away something you don't have. Before you can love others and show God's love to someone, you must receive God's love for yourself. You can't show God's love if you don't possess his love.

Jesus gave us this command in the book of John, " Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34 (NIV).You must love yourself and love others as Jesus loved you and then you are on the road to possessing God's love. How can you love as Jesus loved you? You can't, BUT you are forgiven as our one true God's great mercy and grace reaches to the high heavens.

Apostle John wrote, "No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit." 1 John 4:12-13 (NIV).

Pray for the King of Creation to shower you with the Holy Spirit. May you forever be filled with the fullness of all God has for you. Possess God's love and then share it!
