Our great God in heaven gave us the law to show us just how much we need Jesus. Checking over the laws of the old testament, you don’t have to go out on the town to sin. You can sit in a corner at home with your eyes shut and sin like crazy. We have been saved from the penalty of sin and saved from the power of sin by Jesus carrying our sins to the cross. We will be saved from the presence of sin when we die.
When Jesus was on the cross, you were on his mind. Get serious about disciplining yourselves for the purpose of Godliness. Conform to the image of Jesus Christ.
Awesome Lord – There is no one like you and your name is mighty in power. Forgive us of our sins and let us be obedient in our walk with you. Give us the desire to commit every area of our life to the will of God. Mold us, shape us, and direct us to go after the life you died to give us. Thank you for the mercy, grace, peace and great hope you have given us. We give you all praise and glory. In the good and great name of King Jesus. Amen and amen!
